With years of experience in creative destination marketing under her belt, Ms Amelia Roziman highlighted, “We are lucky in that we have a pool of talented and skilful team players. By harnessing their talents in these public forums, the stimulation that provides can lead to better business results, which includes networking and recognising business opportunities, and can reveal new or hidden talents along the way.”

Applying these principles, she provided an opportunity for team members of the Marketing and Communications department to showcase their talent during the recent ASEAN Tourism Forum in Kuching (ATF), Sarawak. SCB organised a Sarawak-styled Hospitality Suite to attract potential buyers during the event.

Showcasing a different theme for each day, performances were added during the ‘Cocktail Hour’ for Day 1 (Theme: Kenyalang Rainforest Magic) and Day 2 (Theme: Meowing in the Cat City). In Day 1, Ms Jemima Rinai, of Orang Ulu descent, showcased her ethnic heritage in a traditional dance; whereas in Day 2, Ms Regina Toyad displayed her dance training as a Cat Ballerina.
